Writing Around Rego
Fri 27 Mar 2020
2 - 4:30pm
As Paula Rego says 'it all happens in the family'. In the spirit of Rego, this two-day workshop will explore our own stories as mother, lover, daughter, carer, sister inspired by the storytelling of fairytale and mythology. Using a variety of practical techniques including writing, printmaking, drawing and mixed media to explore themes of playful defiance, reversal and subversion. Rego-inspired props will be supplied including costume and animal skulls! Rego describes her creativity, 'I can turn tables, do what I want. Make women stronger'.
Led by artist Pen Reid.
