Opened in 1846, Dean Cemetery has been likened to the Père Lachaise in Paris. The fashionable final resting place of the capital’s great and good, it is less architecturally grandiose than Glasgow’s Necropolis but richer in sculpture.
The May tour will focus on artists, including Sam Bough, Francis Cadell, JD Fergusson, David Octavius Hill and David Scott which are represented.
The tour on 11 June will focus on the lives and monuments of architects.
The tours will be led by Dean Cemetery Trust guides.
