Dalmeny Estate has been the family home of the Earls of Rosebery since 1662. Dalmeny House was designed by William Wilkins and built by the 4th Earl in 1817 to replace 13th Century Barnbougle Castle. Prime Minister from 1894-1895, the 5th Earl married Hannah only daughter of Baron Mayer de Rothschild which led, eventually, to the Baron's magnificent art collection moving to Dalmeny. This tour is a unique opportunity to view the house and collections of Louis XIV, XV and XVI furniture, Vincennes and Sevres porcelain, portraits by Reynolds, Gainsborough and Raeburn as well as important historic pieces in The Napoleon Room.
