In Conversation: Michael Shane Neal

Online Talk Joining details available via the Friends newsletter
  • Thursday 28 January

Join Sir John Leighton as he talks with special guest, Michael Shane Neal. Michael Shane Neal lives in Nashville, Tennessee and is one of America’s most sought-after portrait painters, as well as the Chairman of the Portrait Society of America. He has completed over 500 portrait commissions including former Presidents, Hollywood actors, and many notable Americans. They discuss Shane’s own portraits and one of his greatest influences, John Singer Sargent, and our own Lady Agnew.

This talk will be available from Thursday 28 January via our Friends email newsletter. It is part of a new series of exclusive online talks providing our Friends events programme in a different format. There will be two per month, with each remaining available for two weeks so you can choose when you would like to watch them.

No booking or advance registration is required in order to view these free Friends-only talks. The links to view them will be sent out each fortnight as part of our email newsletter. If you have a Friends membership but do not currently receive our Friends email newsletter, please contact [email protected] to sign up.
