Join us for a free Deaf-led tour in British Sign Language and explore how architecture impacts people’s lives. In the tour you will have the chance to discuss the relationship between photography and architecture, from Hill & Adamson’s early experiments on Edinburgh’s Calton Hill through to spectacular contemporary photographs by Andreas Gursky and Chris Leslie which capture the breath-taking scale of modern buildings. Led by Trudi Collier, you will have the chance to socialise, explore art together and share your ideas.
This tour is in British Sign Language (BSL). If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
Located in the city centre on Queen Street, the Portrait is easy to access.
Presented by Trudi Collier, this short welcome film in British Sign Language (BSL) introduces the building and collections of the Portrait.
