A rare opportunity to visit two of the heritage treasures of Bo’ness – the Hippodrome, Scotland’s oldest purpose-built cinema and the late 15th century Kinneil House, seat of the Hamilton family. After morning tea/ coffee at the Hippodrome, we will have a guided tour of this A-listed masterpiece, designed in 1912 by Matthew Steele. At 2.00pm Historic Environment Scotland will open Kinneil House, exclusively for our visit, which will be conducted by The Friends of Kinneil House.
Friends may wish to have lunch in Bo’ness or visit nearby Kinneil Museum between the tours of the Hippodrome and Kinneil House.
