Berwick upon Tweed is the venue for Scottish Colourists from the Fleming Collection. With 26 works by Peploe, Fergusson, Hunter and Cadell, rarely seen by the public before. Included are works by Glasgow Boys, John Lavery, Arthur Melville and Robert Brough.

We will first visit the Burrell Collection in Berwick Museum and Art Gallery. This small, superb collection includes paintings by Lavery, Crawhall, Daubigny, Boudin, Ramsay and Degas. We will walk to The Granary Gallery to view the Colourist exhibition and to have lunch.

Bughtrig House and garden is owned by William Ramsay, the founder and CEO of the Affordable Art Fair and great great nephew of Sir William Burrell. This Georgian house has been restored and remodelled in recent years and the traditional garden showcases a number of contemporary sculptures.

Please note: It is essential to advise us of any dietary intolerances you may have at friends@nationalgalleries.org in advance of the event. Please be aware that there is a great deal of walking on this trip.
