About

The Director of the Talbot Rice Gallery, Tessa Giblin, discusses the role that art can play in the context of the National Conversation: from the reproductive rights campaign in Ireland in 2018 to the debate around Brexit, artists are injecting abstract, allegorical and historically expansive perspectives into national conversations. Tessa Giblin will present a number of exhibitions she has curated at the University of Edinburgh’s Talbot Rice Gallery and the Venice Biennale to outline the impact that contemporary art can make within these wider contexts.
