Booking essential
We will visit Aberdeen Art Gallery following its £30 million major refurbishment and enjoy a private guided tour of its treasures. The gallery was designed in the neo-classical style in 1885 by Alexander Marshall MacKenzie. It is home to one of the finest collections in the country spanning 700 years, and includes the bequest of Alexander MacDonald, a local granite merchant. The permanent collection includes works by Henry Raeburn, Joshua Reynolds, Paul Nash, Francis Bacon, the Post Impressionists and Scottish Colourists. The gallery also houses an impressive Remembrance Hall and Cenotaph, all designed by the original architect.
Ticket includes return coach transport, private guided tour, tea/coffee on arrival and soup and a sandwich lunch. It is essential that you advise us of any dietary intolerances in advance of the event.
