Single greeting card with a beautiful image of ‘Fungi Forest’ drawing by Scottish illustrator Hannah Longmuir, which was inspired by the amazing display of fungi that pops up in the woodland round our house in the autumn.

It features a delighted little mouse enjoying life in his forest of fungi.  Fungi form one of the natural world’s largest kingdoms.  The health of the planet’s ecosystems depends on the job done by the complex web of fungi under the ground.  The extraordinary variety of mushrooms that we see are the temporary above-ground fruits.  Apparently, the mushrooms in this drawing are Ringless Honey Mushrooms.

This card is one of a collection of cards called ‘A Garden for Wildlife…’.  The cards are a tribute to Hannah Longmuir’s parents who were both excellent gardeners and created little wildlife havens in their gardens.  Every card sold from the collection will help to raise money for the ongoing work of the Macmillan Centre at our local hospital here in the Borders.

This card is designed, manufactured, and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests.

Each one comes with kraft envelope with a fabulous, coloured lining.

Hannah Longmuir is a Scottish countryside artist based in the Scottish borders where she grew up. She works mainly in pencil and watercolour and records the details of the natural world around her.  She aims to create calm, delicate drawings, carefully observed and full of character.
