Bayne by Alison Watt is an exclusive limited-edition giclée print created for the National Galleries of Scotland to accompany Alison Watt | A Portrait Without Likeness shown at Scottish National Portrait Gallery from 17 July 2021 – 9 January 2022.

This limited edition of 100 prints is printed on Hahnemuhle enhanced 100% cotton rag and signed and numbered by the artist with a certificate of authentication.

Alison Watt | A Portrait Without Likeness explores the artist’s continuing fascination with Ramsay’s portraits. Watt, known for her beautiful and intricate large-scale paintings of drapery and folds, has long been an admirer of Ramsay’s portraits of women, in particular the intensely personal images of his first and second wives, The Artist's Wife: Margaret Lindsay of Evelick (1726-82) and Anne Bayne, Mrs Allan Ramsay, d. 1743. Wife of the artist Allan Ramsay. Both portraits reside in the Galleries collection and are currently shown alongside Watt’s new work.

Edition numbers are allocated on a sequential first come first served basis. Requires specific handling and packaging.
