Tilda Swinton is an acclaimed British actress. Swinton began her career in experimental films, directed by Derek Jarman. This vibrant chalk drawing captures Tilda Swinton's fragile beauty as well as her serious and strong intelligence. She and the artist have two children together. In 2020, Swinton was named as a recipient of the British Film Institute Fellowship, the highest honour presented by the Institute which honours individuals in "recognition of their outstanding contribution to film or television culture".

John Patrick Byrne is a Scottish playwright and artist. He wrote The Slab Boys Trilogy, plays which explore working-class life in Scotland, and the TV dramas "Tutti Frutti" and "Your Cheatin' Heart". Byrne is also a celebrated painter, printmaker and theatre designer. He and the actress Tilda Swinton were in a relationship from around 1989 to 2003.
