Eduardo Paolozzi a Scottish Artist born in Leith (Edinburgh), of Italian descent. Studying in Edinburgh where he made a series of dada and surrealist-inspired collages in which magazine advertisements, cartoons and machine parts are combined, pre Pop-Art.
Sack-o-sauce is one of the 47 vibrant and playful collages from the BUNK! series facsimile reproduction of collages made 1947 – 1952. Used in Paolozzi's ground-breaking 1952 lecture called Bunk! at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, it was the first time that images from vernacular culture was treated as fine art.
