Anthropochory by Desire

Alix Villanueva (Gallery Attendant)

Piece of writing and illustration

Anthropochory by Desire refers to the dispersal of seeds by humans. This piece thinks about the relationship between humans and seeds. Alix regards the garden as a zone of high-contact between humans and non-humans. Gardening engages beings in play, work, experimentation, mutual curiosity, growth and decay, fermentation and sensuous alertness. It is the perfect microcosm in which we might devise new ways to interact with our environment and unveil new scenarios of interaction.
