Mixed media on canvas

I am an animal painter, but my artwork is also inspired by my travels. This painting of two zebras was inspired by my trip to South Africa in 2018. Zebras are my favourite animals to paint because of their individuality under observation as well as their striking aesthetic. For this painting I have used acrylic paint with collage but I also paint in watercolour. My style of painting is realistic with an expressive twist. I like to push the paint and build the colours to give the image new life.
