Mixed Media

I studied textile design specialising in screen printing, taking inspiration from using mixed media and collage.

I researched the travels of Isobel Wylie Hutchison who was a Scottish explorer in the early 1900s. I examined Isobel’s plant specimens in person at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and read through her travel journals which are archived at the National Library of Scotland. I continue to be influenced by her stories and passion, and through my research I wanted more people to learn about who Isobel was and what she stood for, motivating others to engage with the natural world.
