Digital painting on canvas

Sometimes the future feels like a gigantic wave rushing forward to crash down upon me. I might not be OK when it hits, but just admitting that helps. I paint digitally using an iPad. This allows me to draw directly into Photoshop, which mimics different media. I can then paint as if I was using oils. It can look unnaturally smooth, so I use both photographic defects like chromatic aberration and wet media roughness (drips/flicks of paint). These keep it uniquely noisy and vibrant, and highlight the craft of the image. From me to you, I hope we’re OK.
