Emily Randall Gaunt (Day Supervisor)

Coloured pencil on paper

I use a variety of media to explore themes of memory, tradition, inheritance, and maternal influence. These coloured pencil ‘portraits’ are from my installation Food Fight: Memories of an Auntie Unhinged. The installation examined the space between the comfort of food and the anxiety of family dinners and how we choose to remember events from our pasts. I am a trustee of The Forest, a long-running Edinburgh-based arts charity and collective. I am also a studio holder and collective member at Sett Studios, Leith.
