Story
Seeing and hugging people I love is something I’ll never take for granted.

Vision
There are two sides of my brain.

The malleable, naïve child side,

Drawn in by fear and panic.

A story ocean, thrown from

One rock to another.

Gasping for breath; to surface

For some relief from powerful,

Crashing waves of terror.

The other is tranquil and quiet.

Still as a lake between

two towering mountains. Smooth and

rational; recognising that there is

no danger here.

Panic tries to stick but slides off like

A raindrop down marble.

When I reflect, I see I am malleable.

I may bend, butI will not break.
