Story
I'm a freelance photographer. This image was part of a project documenting lives of people in a rural community in East Lothian during lockdown. This is my husband, Mike, a crossword fanatic who enjoyed the hardest crosswords he could find during lockdown. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February (hence the badge). We were worried that his treatment would be affected. It turned out that he was better off having Stage 2 cancer than Stage 1 as radiotherapy treatment went ahead whereas surgery wouldn't have. We spent 8 weeks over the Summer visiting the Western General hospital and await the results.

Vision
Lockdown has been positive in creating a community feel in a rural location where there isn’t any physical community hub. These relationships and our ability to support each other will sustain us through whatever comes in the future.
