Story
Made it to my 56th birthday – just. Not shielding – thank God; but obese, nearly diabetic and suffering from untreated sleep apnoea.
Only a matter of time...
It was Rod who had sudden fits (and headaches), inoperable brain tumour; dead at 59.
Thought I'd see 70, at least! Mum doesn't deserve this – husband, brother then only son – whom she can't even comfort in his dying hour...
Telephone triage by a stranger – yeah, right: NOT happening!
Dr Ali phoned himself: birthday blood test and then; ALL CLEAR, at 9.10 in the morning!!
Must be related to that unrecognised co-morbidity: mental health.
