Visually Impaired Programme Live in-gallery | A Taste for Impressionism: Modern French Art from Millet to Matisse
Wed 21 Sep 2022
10:15am - 3:30pm
Join us for an informal, sociable online session exploring art through audio-description and conversation for participants with a visual impairment. In this session we will explore highlights from the National Galleries outstanding collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art, including works by Monet, Gauguin and Van Gogh. We will learn about the pioneering Scottish collectors who had the foresight to invest in the avant-garde at a time when these artists were little known or unpopular and hear about the sinister trade in counterfeit artworks.
Access to this session will be via Zoom. A telephone number, link and password will be sent out before the session. To book a free place, please use online booking or contact us on 0131 624 6410 or [email protected]
