JMW Turner - The Vaughan Bequest
In 1900, the art collector Henry Vaughan gave 38 watercolours by Joseph Mallord William Turner to Scotland’s national collection. These works were only to be exhibited to the public every year in the month of January, which has helped to preserve their spectacular colour and vibrancy.
