Gerard Jefferson-Lewis is an Edinburgh-based photographer who is interested in contemporary portraiture and specifically the representation of the male subject. Inspired by photographers such as Thomas Ruff and Rineke Dijkstra, he explores the notion of blank-face portraits in which the subject is shown devoid of emotion and somewhat detached.
