Glasgow-born artist, Dòmhnall Thomson, studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen. After graduating in 1977, Thomson went on to Moray House College of Education, Edinburgh, qualifying as an art teacher in 1979. In 1980 he was jointly awarded a Gaelic Books Council Award along with the writer, Iain Crichton Smith. Over the years Thomson has received various private and public commissions. He enjoys working in different mediums and styles and in particular tools and construction.
