Joan Miro, Mallorca, 1970
About this artwork
This image captures the renowned Catalan painter Miró at rest in Mallorca. Another series of photographs of Miró, taken by Miller in 1964, document his visit to London in that year. During his stay, Miller accompanied Miró on a behind-the-scenes visit to London Zoo, where she photographed the artist holding the coils of a huge python in the reptile enclosure.
