About this artwork
This drawing was one of a collection of fifty-one works by Cadell that were passed, to his sister, the actress Jean Cadell, after his death. She gave the group to Denis Peploe, the son of fellow Scottish Colourist, S. J. Peploe, who assisted with the clearance of her brother’s studio. All fifty-one works are now in the collection of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
