About this artwork
This complex work was preceded by at least two preliminary drawings of smaller size before being enlarged to full scale on graph paper. Here Gabo seems to take his monoprinting into a new direction, no longer so linked to his sculpture, but exploring the possibilities of the print medium. There are forty-four recorded examples of this work, in a variety of colours.
