About this artwork
The National Galleries of Scotland collection includes two variants of Opus Seven, printed in different colours. As with Opus Three and Opus Six, Opus Seven was preceded by a drawing on graph paper. The date is unknown: dates of between 1956 and 1973 have been suggested. There are fifty-one examples of this work, printed in a range of colours.
