Frances Walker

Wild Shore, Tiree

About this artwork

Whilst teaching art in the Hebrides, Walker developed an appreciation for the wild Northern nature, and many of her atmospheric paintings and prints depict desolate landscapes with little evidence of human existence. This print captures the rugged shoreline on Tiree, the most westerly island of the Inner Hebrides, where Walker has owned a cottage since 1979.
