About this artwork
Walker is best known for her engagement with wild, desolate and remote landscapes and her atmospheric depictions of Scotland’s coastline. Shore Pool, near Achmelvich depicts one such location: a rocky stretch of coast in the Scottish Highlands. Whilst much of her work focuses on Scottish landscape, she has travelled widely to distant locations including the Antarctic and South Georgia, in the southern Atlantic Ocean.
