Sir Jackie Stewart is a true sporting icon who is renowned around the world. A world racing driving champion three times – in 1969, 1971 and 1973 – he has become a prolific international businessman since his retirement from the track. He began a new career as a television presenter which has made him one of the most famous Scots in America. He has since worked as a consultant for many of the world’s leading luxury brands, before returning to Formula One racing as team manager. This portrait is part of a series commissioned to celebrate Scotland’s entrepreneurial talent. Sir Jackie is depicted in a closely cropped frame which accentuates his shrewd expression – this is a man who exudes success. In utilising a triptych format, the artists cement Sir Jackie's position as an icon.
