In his work Satterley consistently focuses on documenting the landscape and atmosphere of Scottish sporting estate, often with warm humour. This photograph is a portrait of the man, observed by the dog lurking behind his elbow and ignored by the woman fishing in the background - an expression of three different ideas of time and space in one picture.

Glyn Satterley was born in Sevenoaks, Kent in 1947. He gained a degree in Fine Art from Ravensbourne College in 1975.
