Free Saturday afternoon drop-in guided tours of the National Galleries of Scotland's art collections take place every month.
Tours of the Scottish National Gallery are on the last Saturday of every month, and tours of the *Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art One are on the second Saturday.
We also offer Thematic Tours of the Portrait Gallery on the first Saturday of the month.
*In place of our regular Gallery of Modern Art highlight tours, we are offering weekly tours of the British Art Show 8, every Saturday at 2pm until 7 May 2016.
A new walking tour From Monumental to Modern: Sculpture City Walking Tour commences in April, with tours on Sunday 17 & 24 April and the 8 & 15 May 2016 from 2-4pm. The price costs £12 (£10 concessions) and tickets are available from the Information Desk at the Scottish National Gallery.

We offer 1 hour private guided tours around our temporary exhibitions or highlights tours around the permanent collection to all types of adult groups of 10 or more persons.
We also offer bespoke tours on a theme of your choice.
Tours are lead by a freelance team of highly experienced guides from a variety of backgrounds within the arts including practitioners and art historians.
Highlights or Exhibition Tour: Minimum Price £50 (10 persons), thereafter £5 per head
Bespoke Tour: Minimum Price £100 (10 persons), thereafter £10 per head
Please book at least 4 weeks in advance.
Self Guided Tours
If you would like to visit any of the exhibitions or permanent collection on a self guided tour it is also necessary to book in.
Please make sure you move around the gallery spaces in groups of 20 or less, split up into further groups if necessary. This is especially important in smaller exhibitions.
Please book at least 2 weeks in advance.
Paying Exhibition Group Discount
We offer 50% of the full ticket price of a paying exhibition for an adult group if booked in and if at least 2 weeks notice is given.
Please note a guided tour of a paying exhibition will include the exhibition entry price and the price for a guided tour detailed above.
