Ecas is a charity established in Edinburgh in 1902 to improve the lives of people with disabilities.  It currently has four main spheres of activity:

  • Giving grants for specific purposes to disabled people who live in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
  • Running classes for disabled people in Edinburgh.
  • Managing an innovative befriending project using both disabled and non-disabled volunteers to visit isolated people with physical disabilities.
  • Raising awareness of, and campaigning about, disability equality issues.
