A group of students who studied at Kunstakademie Dusseldorf in the mid 1970s and were taught by Bernd and Hiller Becher. The Becher’s were interested in New Objectivity and their students, such as Andreas Gursky and Thomas Struth, embraced this influence but coupled it with new technical possibilities and a contemporary vision.
