National Galleries of Scotland are pleased to share this conversation between internationally acclaimed photographer Thomas Joshua Cooper and Chief Curator of Photography, Anne Lyden.

This talk was originally broadcast live. The first part of the conversation was specially recorded in Cooper’s The World’s Edge exhibition which took place from July 2021 to January 2022 at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and is followed by responses to audience questions.

Coinciding with the start of the the 26th UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Cooper shares his observations of climate change over the 32-year period of the project. They discuss the making and ideas behind his extraordinary photographs made at the most extreme points and locations surrounding the Atlantic Ocean.
