Visually Impaired Tour | A Taste for Impressionism | Modern French Art from Millet to Matisse

Enjoy a selection of audio descriptions of artworks currently on display in the exhibition, A Taste for Impressionism | Modern French Art from Millet to Matisse. The exhibition explores the remarkable story of how Scotland became home to one of the world’s greatest collections of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art.

This guide, which has been developed specifically for blind and partially sighted people, features detailed descriptions of five artworks and a special mention to our latest discovery of the hidden Van Gogh self-portrait.

Each description is between 1:50 and 4 minutes long. Gallery staff are available to help you locate any of the paintings.

The audio guide is about 20 minutes long and can also be accessed via Soundcloud and Smartify
