As part of the programme responding to the Ray Harryhausen | Titan of Cinema exhibition at Modern One, the Learning & Engagement team commissioned curator and educator Dan Vo (V & A, London) to revisit the films of Ray Harryhausen. The resulting three short episodes explore mythologies in the films of Ray Harryhausen through a queer lens.

Episode Three: Kali – Claire Mead and Dan Vo

Dan and independent curator and art historian Claire Mead consider the representation of Hindu goddess Kali in one of Harryhausen’s most iconic sequences from The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1974).
