Photography

The National Galleries of Scotland's collection holds over 38,000 works with a focus on historic photography and an ever-growing contemporary photography section. We aim to illuminate the art of photography with particular relation to Scotland. In this collection, our highlights include Cindy Sherman, Bill Brandt and the founding fathers of Scottish photography - David Octavius Hill and Robert Adamson.
