Horn lives in New York. Her artworks mostly take the form of photographs, books, drawings, sculptures and writing. Iceland plays a major role in Horn’s work and is the subject of ongoing series of books titled 'To Place', which, set in the Icelandic landscape, aim to challenge our conceptions of place and identity. In 2007 she created 'Vatnasafn/ The Library of Water'; a sculptural installation of water and community centre in the town of Stykkishólmur on the southwest coast of Iceland. Other focuses of Horn’s work include the poetry of Wallace Stevens and Emily Dickison.
