Richard Earlom was an English [mezzotinter], who spent all of his life in London. He studied under the artist Cipriani, frequently winning prizes for his drawings and engravings at the [Society of Arts]. His largest output was a set of 300 plates of pictures by the popular seventeenth century landscape painter Claude Lorrain.
