Peter Liversidge People Don’t Grow Old The Way They Used To 2010

Born 1973
Nationality British

Peter Liversidge was born in Lincoln. He studied at the University of Plymouth, from 1993-6, before travelling to America to study film and photography at Montana State University, from 1994-5. Since then his work has become centred on the writing of proposals. These poetic and often humorous texts are suggestions which range from the sublime to the ridiculous. The proposals encompass almost any medium with the underlying ambiguity that some are possible, and should be realised, whereas others are reserved for the imagination. For each project, Liversidge writes the texts on an old manual typewriter.
