Very little is known of Emma Ferguson. The daughter of James Henry Mandeville, she was married to Colonel Robert Ferguson of Raith. They had four children, the eldest of which, Ronald Crauford Munro, Viscount Novar (1860–1934), became politician and governor-general of Australia.
