Biography

Born 1976
Nationality German
Birth place Heidelberg

Kitty Kraus studied at the Universität der Künste, Berlin, graduating in 2006. Her work echoes the forms of minimalist artists such as Donald Judd and Dan Flavin. She is also, to a certain degree, operating within the context of Conceptual art. However, her work does not quite abandon its physical presence. She uses a variety of materials such as ice, glass, ink and mirrors to create installations which frequently change form and evolve whilst they are on display. Yet, despite their often auto-destructive nature, the works never entirely disappear.
