Biography

Jessie Ann Matthew was born in 1952 and educated at the Central School of Art and Design, London. She has worked as a portrait photographer undertaking commissions from the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. Particular projects include The Seven Poets (1981) with paintings by Alexander Moffat. More recently, Matthew has been making with texiles, in particular wall-hangings and paintings.
