Helen Walton was a Scottish artist best known for her decorative work in ceramics and glass. Born one of 12 children, the Walton's were an artistically talented family. As one of the eldest children, Helen became an artistic mentor to her siblings including Edward Arthur who was associated with the Glasgow Boys, George who was an accomplished architect and interior designer, and Hannah who also pursued the decorative arts. Helen studied at Glasgow School of Art, where she then taught ceramic decoration from 1893 to 1904. Alongside her sister Hannah, she ran an artists' studio out of her home in Hillhead Glasgow.
