Falmouth-based portrait photographer Danny North creates images that capture the spirit and energy of the moment. Shooting with film when the occasion allows and often using natural light, he works closely with his subjects to achieve images that are authentic and memorable. Earning his subjects’ trust is key, and he builds rapport with whomever he is photographing from Lewis Hamilton to the residents of the Hebridean island of Eigg. His series As I Found Her: A Portrait of Eigg was selected for the 2017 Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery.
