The older brother of Samuel John Peploe, W.W. Peploe was a bank manager with the Commercial Bank of Scotland in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. An amateur painter, a small number of the works he produced bear an intriguing relationship to contemporary futurist and vorticist art.
