Richard Wright

Untitled Figure 2

About this artwork

The delicate and ambiguous emblem in this print is reminiscent of a flame-like tattoo design or a biker-jacket motif. Sparks seem to fly from the intricate central design, creating a sense of atmospheric perspective. This print is the second in a series of five produced for the ‘BQ Poster Edition’ portfolio. Each print was named ‘Untitled Figure’ and numbered from one to five. The prints were initially intended to be pasted onto either internal or external walls as a series of posters. Throughout the portfolio Wright has combined simple geometric and organic forms against flat backgrounds.
